ABOUT · THE HEART OF OUR MISSION

A bridge between understanding your past and creating what comes next.

The Bridge Between™ was founded by Jenna Stewart, Trauma-Informed Identity Advocate & Self-Leadership Mentor, through lived experience of trauma, neurodivergence, identity erosion and navigating mental health systems.

That experience shaped a simple insight: understanding what has happened can matter, while rebuilding a relationship with yourself and finding your way through everyday life can ask for practical, relational and identity-focused support too.

WHY THIS BRIDGE MATTERS

The effects can touch more than one part of life.

Trauma can create additional, often invisible barriers across mental health, emotions, relationships and identity. These experiences overlap in everyday life: how someone feels can shape their relationships, and what happens in relationships can affect their sense of safety, choice and self.

Traditional mental health support can help people manage symptoms, while practical skills, relational awareness and identity rebuilding may not always be integrated beyond treatment, in the places where everyday decisions and relationships happen.

People may find themselves returning to environments, relationships or survival patterns connected with recurring difficulties. This is not a personal failing. The Bridge Between™ exists to address the gap between trauma recovery and personal development, with space to understand those patterns and explore what might support different choices over time.

WHAT THE WORK MAKES SPACE FOR

Understanding, skills and a stronger relationship with yourself.

  • Understanding experiences and survival patterns.
  • Developing emotional regulation and interpersonal skills.
  • Rebuilding identity and recognising unhealthy dynamics.
  • Strengthening self-trust, agency, autonomy and self-leadership.

The purpose is more than coping. These capacities can support resilience, independence, healthier relationships, self-advocacy and choices that are more aligned with your values. They are areas to explore, not guaranteed outcomes.

POSSIBLE DIRECTIONS

There is no single way to move forward.

People bring different needs, relationships and hopes for the future. These are connected areas of the mission, not a sequence everyone is expected to follow.

Individual Recovery & Self-Leadership

Supporting people to understand themselves, rebuild identity and develop emotional and practical skills for everyday life with greater confidence, self-trust and independence.

Healthier Relationships & Prevention

Supporting people to recognise unsafe dynamics, develop healthier interpersonal behaviours, set boundaries, advocate for themselves and become more aware and accountable in their own relationships, which can help reduce the risk of repeating harmful patterns.

Advocacy & Wider Change

For people who may wish to use their knowledge, skills or lived experience to support others, educate or advocate, and contribute to healthier relationships, communities and wider change.

An optional future progression. It is not something everyone must pursue and is not a programme currently available.

THE BRIDGE FORWARD™ FRAMEWORK

Understand → Stabilise → Reclaim → Lead → Create

The framework connects trauma recovery and personal development. Its progression is a flexible guide rather than a required linear path; people can begin where it feels useful and revisit capacities as life changes.

Awareness → Self-Acceptance → Receive

Understand experiences, feelings, needs and survival patterns. Practise meeting yourself with acceptance and making room to receive care, support and possibility.

Regulation → Agency → Choose

Notice emotional and relational patterns, develop practical ways to regulate, and create room to choose everyday responses, boundaries and next steps.

Identity → Autonomy → Act

Rebuild a sense of self grounded in your values and needs, then make decisions and take actions that reflect your autonomy and direction.

Self-Leadership → Intuition → Believe

Strengthen self-trust, listen for intuition and guide decisions and relationships with growing confidence in your capacity for values-aligned action.

CONSCIOUS CREATION

Shaping a future that reflects what matters to you.

Conscious creation or manifestation here means participating in a values-aligned future through awareness, choices and meaningful action. It does not guarantee results, reduce the idea to positive thinking alone or replace mental health treatment; it is not a substitute for mental health treatment.
